Campaign Intro Text

The WA Government wants to know YOUR views

Our Outback is at the heart of who we are as Western Australians, and now is your chance to formally have your say about its future.

Please take the time to write your message to government regarding their proposed changes to our Outback laws.

The government's draft Rangelands Reform Bill is an excellent first step towards creating a brighter future for people and nature in the Outback.

But at the moment, the new laws only cater for the big players. Family-run stations will be left behind and miss out on the benefits that reform could bring. If this happens, there's a real risk that people will continue to leave our Outback - leaving it unmanaged and at risk from fire, feral animals and weeds.

The government wants to hear from YOU! Don't miss this opportunity to have your say - write your submission now.

Our Outback is an amazing place, but what makes it special is at risk.

"It breaks my heart to leave, but I have no choice."

My family and I have made the hardest of decisions – to leave our home, Nallan Station. We’ve given every last drop of energy, time and money to bring this extraordinary part of WA back to health, but now our time is up.

Outback people need your support. Please sign Michael’s petition asking the WA Government to make the Outback a priority, so that other families aren’t forced to leave.

Will you sign?

When you sign the petition, an email will be sent to Premier Mark McGowan and Minister for Lands Rita Saffioti to let them know you’ve signed. The email will also be copied to Shadow Minister for Lands Liza Harvey, Leader of the Nationals Mia Davies, and Greens Member for the Mining and Pastoral Region Robin Chapple.
