The Western Australian Outback is home to some amazing landscapes. From the Kimberley to the Nullabor, they’re like nowhere else on earth...

Please join us to see the Outback through the lens of an award winning landscape photographer, Christian Fletcher, in the second Our Outback, Our Story speaker event.

When: Thursday 23 June 2016, 6pm

What: Stories of our Outback through the lens of award-winning photographer Christian Fletcher. Partnership for the Outback Director David Mackenzie will introduce Christian and bring you up to date on some of the changes underway for our Outback this year. The talk will be followed by light refreshments.

Where: North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club - 151 Marine Parade, Cottesloe WA (Next to the Blue Duck)

RSVP: Online registration is essential for this free event. Friends and family are welcome!

Christian started his photographic career in a small darkroom he built for himself in his parents’ house. Using film, he perfected the capture of light, and it is this quality that makes his work stand out. In 2014 Christian was awarded the International Landscape Photographer of the Year award – and a quick look at his photos makes it easy to see why.

Our Outback landscapes are part of the fabric of Western Australia, and the Stories of our Outback events coincide with a pivotal time for the future of WA’s Outback.

With the WA Government about to decide on historic reforms for the Outback, it’s the perfect time to take a step back and be reminded of how amazing our state really is.
