Christian started his photographic career in a small darkroom he built for himself in his parents’ house. Using film, he perfected the capture of light, and it is this quality that makes his work stand out. In 2014 Christian was awarded the International Landscape Photographer of the Year award – and a quick look at his photos makes it easy to see why.
Our Outback landscapes are part of the fabric of Western Australia, and the Stories of our Outback events coincide with a pivotal time for the future of WA’s Outback.
With the WA Government about to decide on historic reforms for the Outback, it’s the perfect time to take a step back and be reminded of how amazing our state really is.
