Keeping you connected to our national parks during COVID-19

Posted by Lisa Thomas on 16 April 2020

We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe during these challenging times.

At this time of isolation from people as well as the planet, it's the perfect time to reminisce about the times when we’ve been able to visit and enjoy Western Australia’s beautiful natural places.

Our national parks are places where wildlife can thrive and for people to relax, recharge and re-engage with family, friends and nature. They evoke a sense of wonder and amazement.

Our team are spending this time reminding ourselves of these life changing experiences, and we want you to join us!

We need your help to create a calendar full of your memories and photos of national parks across WA, to send to important decision makers.

This pandemic will create delays and new challenges for creating the new parks promised under the Plan for Our Parks initiative, so your support will be as important as ever.

Do you have a photo, a special memory or experience you’ve had in a WA national park? Maybe sitting by a campfire, hiking or looking at the wildflowers in bloom?

Send your photos and memories of 50 words or less to [email protected] to help us protect our remarkable state.  Be sure to tell us which national park you are in.

During these unusual times we appreciate your support more than ever and hope we can soon get back to enjoying our national parks.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing your photos and reading your memories!

Stay well,

Linda Goncalves
